Barnham Broom Road

These bales were spotted, just a short distance from my home. This was my second painting of this field in one day. The first, a little 8 x 10 inch had gone well, so I was a little more relaxed about the second attempt. I really enjoyed the freedom of movement, in going up in size. Because I didn’t have long to paint I managed to get this down in an hour and a half. I’m really pleased with the simple, sketch-like quality of it. Painted late August 2023.
