Becketswell Meadow, Wymondham

I had intended to paint elsewhere, but was captured as I drove past the entrance to this park. The hazy, early morning sun glowing through the trees, and the frosty lawn patterned with long shadows was too much to ignore. I don’t usually place people in my work, but decided to add them to help with perspective. I love the loose, slightly abstract quality to this piece. Painted start of February 2025 in two hours.
