I was captured by the brilliant greens of the new growth against the dark shadows of the cliffs. The wet ground glistened in the morning sun and the cliffs receded to a mist. I remember the joy of painting this contre jour scene. Painted from Overstrand beach, a short walk from my home in 2016.
